A Brighter Day...

Hello everyone!! How was everyone's Tuesday?? My Tuesday was great because it was really my FRIDAY!!!! I got up early and went for a run on the beach with Brody, he needed it so bad!! The fresh air first thing in the morning is always a great way to start the day!! After my run we headed over to get some coffee and breakfast from my favorite joint... Crush Cakes... seriously people if you haven't gone... GO!! What are you waiting for!!

I decided to get online before shower time to look at hotels in Vegas because we've been trying to plan a girls Vegas trip since Nov.. maybe well actually get there next month. I haven't been there in like 3 yrs and I know a lot has changed. I bet even the hotel situations have too... which place is a good place to stay?! Any input would be awesome.. I'm thinking Planet Hollywood or the Palms?? Anyways it'll be me and my 3 best girlfriends.. Dylan, Rose and Cassie!!

I didn't get very far into planning the trip before I got side tracked on the Sephora website... oops :/ BUT I was good because I only ordered a tinted lip balm with SPF!! I also got stuck on this website called Pinterest! Have any of you heard of it?! Its so addicting!! And there's so much cool shit on there. I don't know how I lived without it. Check it out if you haven't already... You have to get an invite from someone otherwise you'll be waiting for forever to become a member. It's just that exclusive :)

So work was good.. def better than the other day. Not only because I made money but because I got a surprise visit from my special guy Ian :) Totally had no idea he was gonna show up, but so glad he did! He always has perfect timing. He sat down and played with a few other dealers including my nemesis... Brianna!!! She of course flirted the whole time with him, but I cant really blame her, he is GORGEOUS!!! Her on the other hand... ehhhh... she just annoys me. She had the nerve to ask me what our "relationship status" was! Like I should choose... single, in a relationship, engaged or married...  Which totally is NOT my personality, not that I hate labels but when it comes to relationships, I hate labels. Once you label it, things can get weird and complicated. Why do that when things seem to be going good and smooth and we still have a mutual like and respect for each other. Does that even make sense??

The second best part of my day... coming home to my Victoria's Secret swimsuit catalog... I want to order one of everything in there!! It came at the perfect time for the Vegas trip, that I hope happens! I'm itching to go dancing, lay by the pool and tan, drink and of course GAMBLE!! The color choices and styles are always so much fun to look at. I will prob end up going and ordering more than I need but you can never have to many suits, right!! I will wear them all, I just know it!!

Ian and I are gonna have a slumber party tonight because I'm off tomorrow and he doesn't have to be to work until 10 :) Who knows what's in store for tomorrow. I'm just glad it's not supposed to rain... AND I live in a beautiful area for hiking with all kinds of outdoor activities to do. Plus I have a dog that loves to do those things too!

Manic Mondays FAAAAB FIIIIVE!!!

So todays FAAAAB FIIVE is gonna be so much fun!! My favorite beauty products!! Every girl has products they absolutely cannot live without and here are a few, five to be exact, of my all time great products! First up is my foundation. Its MAC and its the mineralize satin finish with SPF 15. It makes my face feel silky and smooth and not look too made up. I don't like seeing girls with cake up on.. you know what I mean!!







Second up is my Alba oil free moisturizer with green tea and aloe. Lemme just say it smells AMAZING!! ANNND it doesn't leave you feeling greasy at all which is something I love. I do not like putting moisturizer on and feeling sticky and thick all day.. yuck! They also make this same stuff but with jasmine and vitamin E. I have tried it once because they were out of the green tea and it goes on the same but I'm not a big fan of the jasmine scent. Soo if you haven't tried this, you should go out and buy it. You can buy it almost anywhere and their website always has good coupons :)





And now my all time favorite facial scrub. This is seriously all I ever use on my face EVER, EVER and I just love it!! It kinda smells like Thanksgiving and works so good. I use it everyday, morning and night. The great thing about this is its only like $8. I go thru like 4 a year and spend next to nothing for beautiful skin!! Beauty on a budget! People should def give this a go!! Also the moisturize above is fairly cheap if some of you were wondering.







This is my favorite, favorite, favorite eye shadow palette by Urban Decay. You can buy this on the Sephora website all year long. Its great for a natural, neutral look, smoky eyes, or just wanting to add that little pop of color if the mood strikes! LOVE IT!! This palette also comes with a primer. I think if you want to have the best look and color from your shadow you should always use a primer. I think the Urban Decay primer is the best I've ever used!!!! SO I def recommend this also!!




Last but certainly not least is my favorite body lotion... Vanilla scent from The Body Shop... have you guys smelled this?? HOLY MOLY its sooo yummy you just wanna eat it!! I love the Body Shop for lotions and lip butter because they smell good and the lip stuff tastes good also. So once again if you guys haven't tried it, I strongly recommend going online and finding a store near you.. just so you can smell them before purchasing!! The nearest store to me is about a 1hr away so I usually order online.

Bust or Die!!!

So.....last night should have been an awesome night...but...I had a bad run in with a high roller!!! On my last down of the night I had an idiot player cap a bet. I had been dumping, and dumping, and dumping to the high stakes table for like ten hands in a row. I dumped the whole rack!!!

I had a full table with a George (a player who tips huge!!!) sitting on third base. The rest of the table were stiffs and fleas. On first base there was an idiot player who kept complaining about how much money he had lost while sitting at this table. All while I was dumping thousands of dollars to him!!!

"George" had just broken even and had placed a $100 bet for me...finally!! Now I can start making some CASH!! Just when I thought I had a chance...the idiot on first base capped his bet! I had to call floor over to let them know what was up. Which means we had to freeze the hand and stand around waiting for surveillence.

I'm standing there waiting for the call from the eye in the sky to tell me I'm good to go and deal the rest of the hand. I look at my watch and notice that I have 3 minutes til the next dealer pushes me out.

So, I'm thinking...come on I need to BUST! Bust or die...I died!!! :( There goes my Vegas Money! Damn!!!

Looking over my shoulder, hoping for a late push, I see the bitch who stole my shift! Right on time!!! All day I'm lining um up and she's knocking um down! Must not have been my night.

Of course my next table is right next to hers... damn $5 tables! Instantly I hear the sound of tokes clanking there way into her toke box. BOOOO!!!! Wishing I had taken my EO at this point I feel like crying and not dealing to these fleas.

 After an hour of listening to EVERYONE else make money off of MY "George" It's time to cash out. As I dump out my tokes The slutty bitch steps next to me gloating. All I see is a pool of hundred dollar chips. $1500 to be exact!

Finally, the night is over and I can head home to my dog and DVR and forget about this horrific day. While I drown my sorrow in a bottle of $5 wine from Whole Foods, classy I know,  I tell myself that tomorrow will be a better day!! Ended my night with The Hunger Games!!!

 Friday was a really long long day as most peoples Mondays are. I woke up early for a pre work day mocha and mani/pedi with my friend Dylan. She and I were in need of a quick little gossip session. I mean so much has been going on with me and Ian and her and her husband.

After my much needed Dylan time I had to go home and get ready for my day. I was feeling pretty good, my nails and toes looked amazing!! All I had left to do before heading to work was hang with Brody, make lunch, shower, shave, blow dry my hair, apply the perfect amount of make up, lotion up and then out the door I'd go!! If only it was that simple.. I walked in my door and found throw up in 3 different spots in the house :( Poor guy must of eaten to much grass because that's all it was.
So after cleaning all that up I started feeling really bad about having to leave him home alone while I'm gone at work for a million hrs!! Who could I call? Who could I call? I got a good idea, Ian!! I know hes busy working too but hes in town and I'm hoping he'd be able to check on Brody in between showings.

Now that my pup was handled the next thing... LUNCH!! I had leftovers but I really really wanted a tuna melt, so that's what I made. As I was sitting enjoying my tuna melt and lemonade I watched an episode of Fashion Police. Do you guys like that show? I love it!! Joan is hilarious! OMG!! I was horrified when they showed a picture of one of my top 5 sexiest men on there not looking so sexy:( Josh Duhamel whaaat happened????!!!!


I finally arrived at my lovely wonderful job and this time when I say that, I mean it!! It was a good day.. lots of nice people (which is rare) not a lot of dead spreads and I had the early bust out!! And did I mention I made some money!! The best part of my day is always getting off :)

I didn't wanna go home and do nothing so I called my BF Dylan and asked if she would be available to go to the 11:15pm showing at the Arlington with me and go watch The Hunger Games. She said she'd meet me there!! So we went. I really, really loved the books!! They're all really well written and I loved them. Read them all in one weekend!! Especially since I love to write, its actually my favorite hobby that I do everyday :), I wanted to go see this movie. After hearing quite a few reviews about it and them not being very good, I took the chance and went... I was thoroughly disappointed :( I would recommend waiting to rent it and not going to the theater and seeing it. Plus it was full of 16 yr old girls!! But sometimes thats kinda fun.

I finally returned home to find Ian and Brody snuggled in my bed :) what a great way to end a fun friend filled day :)

I wish I could say the same thing about my day yesterday.. Ill save that for later!!!! Thanks for stopping by and reading.... :)

Sand and Oil

What an amazing and relaxing day off!!! I got totally spoiled and was treated to my first couples massage at the Bacara Resort!! It was THE best massage I've probably ever had. We decided to go with the Syncrossage couples massage which was a wise choice :) I still smell of eucalyptus and my hair is all massage oily but hey I feel soooo nice!

We had lunch at the Bistro there and can I just say WOW!! I went with the Bacara vegetable pizza, it was filled with zucchini, roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, I think goat cheese and some herbs!! So so so so so so so good!! And for dessert... Yes I had dessert!!! I got the cherry cheesecake... it was divine!!

After lunch we walked on the beach and then laid in the sand and snuggled! When we got back to my house we were covered with sand and oil, two of my favorite things. We had to take Brody out for some exercise. Even though I was so tired and relaxed. I love him and I know he was in desperate need of a run. So I strapped on rollerblades, yes rollerblades and out the door we went. I left Ian at my place alone for the first time while I exercised my doggie! Hopefully he didn't find anything he didn't wanna see! JK

I also took Ian grocery shopping with me for the first time! I know it sounds so exciting, right?! We originally went to the store to grab stuff so we could stay in all night and just enjoy our time off. He has to work all the rest of the week and weekend. When he works we don't see a lot of each other because he has to be up so early. Luckily he has a job where he can kinda make his own schedule. We made a very easy dinner.. chicken alfredo! Which I love but not too crazy to make.

I have to start getting mentally prepared to start my week tomorrow :( boo hoo. I wish we had 5 weekend days and 2 work days. Who can call to suggest this change be made STAT!!
Speaking of STAT one of my good girlfriends and I will getting together tomorrow morning for coffee and pre work day pedi!! HOORAY!! My toes are in dire need of some TLC!!

I've posted a few pics of the places where we were today. Enjoy them and if you ever get the opportunity to go there... GO!!! It's a little pricy but worth ever penny spent! The scenery alone is worth it.. absolutely gorgeous.

I'm gonna call it a night on here and I guess finally take a shower and go snuggle down in bed :) Good night everyone.. see you tomorrow!!

Star Gazing and Lip Locking...

Hi everyone! I just got home a little bit ago from my meet the family day, which went amazingly well!!! We headed over the pass early this afternoon and Ian showed me around Santa Ynez/Solvang area.

We did a little shopping.. I found this cute little boutique and spent a few bucks in there on a circle ring, a cute white cardigan and a beaded poncho shirt, which was one of my favorite purchases in a long time!!

It was also Farmers Market day and that always gets me excited!!! We didn't get a lot from there except a beautiful bunch of sunflowers for Ian's mom :)

I saw a restaurant that is def gonna be worth making a trip to Buellton for.. called A.J. Spurs? It looked very rustic which usually means they'll have some delicious food!! YUM YUM!!!

Ian's parents live in the country and have horses!!! So that was pretty cool! We fed them carrots. They were so sweet and very gentle. As outdoorsy of a person as I am, I will say that I'm not all that comfortable with horses.. They're just SOOO BIG!!!!

We ate BBQ'd ribs!! Grilled artichokes with this amazing sauce Ian's mom made, homemade beans, bread, corn on the cob, and for dessert a yummy cheesecake made with eggs from New Frontiers!! OMG!!! Best home cooked meal I've had for awhile. His parents were so, so nice. They're very chill, just easy going and wanna have fun! Which also explains why Ian is just so cool :)

After dinner we went for a walk on his parents property with Brody, a blanket and a flashlight... and can you guys imagine all the stars we saw!! The sky was so big out there in the country. No city lights taking away from its natural beauty. We sat on a hillside and just laid and stargazed. I'm pretty sure I located the big dipper but Ian swears I was making it up! lol

Its funny because we still have these amazingly awkward moments when I really wanna kiss him but don't want to be pushy. I think he feels the same because we end up looking at each other and  we start laughing! Have I mentioned he has a very contagious laugh, the kind of laugh that no matter what kinda day you had makes you happy at the sound of it!

So I'm sure you can imagine that we did end up in quite the lip lock <3 I love how my face feels after kissing him, kinda raw from his scruff! Its just a little reminder of my night of fun. After a couple of hours out there alone I got spooked enough so that we made our way back to the house.

We sadly said our goodbyes to his parents and headed down the highway back to my place. While I was driving home, listening to the wind whip around my jeep and Brody snoring in the back seat, I started thinking about the first time I saw Ian at my work. I knew then that I wanted to get to know him... I never imagined things would go this way but I'm so happy they did :)

I always gets this nervous anxious feeling when we approach the exit to my place.. is he gonna come in? is he gonna get in his car and leave? will I get just one more sweet soft kiss before bed? I almost always get what I want but every now and then I 2nd guess. I like that he keeps me on my toes!

So, I almost forgot that last night he told me he has a gift for me, until we pulled up to my house. He asked to come in... I of course would never deny that!!!! So do you guys wanna hear what it is he got me?! He booked us a couples massage at the Bacara Resort for tomorrow! Followed by lunch and then a movie... if we feel up to it! What a great surprise!! Something I def love and could use right about now. My left shoulder has been feeling kinda wonky lately :/

I'm gonna try to get off my computer and go snuggle down with Ian. He's asleep in my bed next to me as I type this blog :) He must have had a rough day to be asleep before 11pm!!!

Playing Catch Up :/

What a fantastic day!! Hows everybody doing?? A lot has gone on since the last time I blogged. For one we celebrated St.Paddy's Day!! Which is one of my favorite holidays because you get to be silly and dress up! I had my nails shellac'd with a couple little shamrocks.. super cute!! They will be getting re painted tomorrow because I'M SO OVER the green nails!! lol The only festive thing I was allowed to wear to work other than my nails was a pair of cute shamrock post earrings that I got like 8yrs ago at Target!

I feel like it was a true Irish holiday because it rained all day which is what I imagine Ireland being like... I didn't actually drink any green beer. I know that sounds lame but I wanted to be the responsible one. Plus I had to work the next day and being hung over at a job where your personality is everything is the worst case scenario!!

Lets see what else has happened since the last update... Oh I decided I want to start running again! So I'm gonna try to wake up a little early and go running on the beach 3 times a week... key word is TRY!!

Ian and I have been spending a lot of time together and a couple nights a week he stays here with me and Brody. So I started thinking about something the other day... I have never been to Ian's house. Is that strange?? I don't even know where he lives!! I know he has a roommate and that they don't really get along that well as of late... so it kinda makes me curious! Why so secretive!!!

As I'm typing this I have the Real Housewives of OC on... OMG!! these ladies are so ridiculous!! I hope I never act or know anyone who acts the way they do when I'm their age. To old to be so full of drama!!! I do wanna know who Tamaras trainer is because she looks super HOT this season!!!

Tomorrow is finally a day off for me.. not that I've had a bad work week or anything but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my days off!! I mean who wouldn't :) Especially because tomorrow Ian has asked me to go to his parents house for a nice dinner. His mom knows we've been spending A LOT of time together and thinks it would be nice to get to know his new "friend". I guess they live somewhere in the Valley?? Wish me luck with that. I hope he's not a mamas boy!! I really really hope he's not a mamas boy!! He also said he has a little surprise for me... I wonder what it could be??

Well I'm gonna wrap it up for tonight. Ill meet you all back here tomorrow... same time same station!! I will share my surprise with all of you!! That is if its not R rated!! jk jk lol

I'm goin to make todays FAB FIVE short and sweet because I'm exhausted... I feel like I haven't caught up on sleep since before St.Paddy's Day!!!

This weeks FAAAB FIIIVE are my favorite casino movies... in no order of course... I love all of these movies and can watch them all over and over again.

The Hangover

  Hey everybody!! How's everyone out there doing? Sometimes when I write that, I feel like I'm talking to myself.. but I hope not. Anywhoo I had an exceptionally fun, fun, fuuun day with Ian and of course Brody!! He's my sidekick what can I say :)

  Let me rewind a little to last night. When I got off of here I had just enough time to eat my grilled cheese and hop in the shower before Ian showed up. We decided to stay in and watch some tv and just be with each other.

  As the night grew on and I grew sleepier and sleepier. We decided to move from my ridiculously comfy couch to my bed. OMG!!!! Was this really happening?! Nope it didn't really happen :( but I think it might be better that we kept it PG.. well maybe more PG13 ;) I decided when we crawled into bed that I just didn't think it was time to sleep sleep with each other so he'd just have to be satisfied with JUST sleeping... and snuggling.

  We kissed and caressed and kissed and kissed and kissed so much my little lippies are chapped... hehehe!! We had some laughs in between because Brody kept snoring and it was just so funny! You know when you're trying to focus and be ser-i-ous and something funny happens and you just cant help but laugh and then of course the mood is ruined. I was so guilty of that last night... but Ian didn't seem to mind keepin it simple. What a gentlemen. When the time is right I'm sure he'll think it is all worth it.

  After a long wonderful night of sleeping, yes sleeping!! We woke up together for the first time :) and that my friends felt good. He is not a morning person before coffee, lemme just say!! lol After some coffee and getting the plan for the day we were out the door and headed for some food! We ended up at the Cold Springs Tavern, man was that place soooo yummmmy!!! If you haven't been there I highly recommend taking the short drive over the pass and going.

  It was so beautiful in that area today. We stayed and went to red rock, this is a locals place where you go to jump off of rocks into deep water and its always packed and hot!! Good thing I always keep sunblock in my glove box!!! We def needed it today!

  I love that Ian is always up to do something fun, whether it be watching a silly show or something crazy and spontaneous. Sometimes with me you never knoooow!!! We wanted to hike up to Knapps Castle but we ended up journey-ing to Solvang for Farmers Market. I got some delicious smelling soap, some cheese and a great caramel apple from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!!

  After a great day of sun fun and food (some of my favorite things) we made the short journey home... I was kinda tired so I let Ian drive my baby (meep meep goes the jeep jeep) home. Lucky for him we arrived safely and laid down for a nice late day nap and man did that feel gooooood!!! For the second time in one day we woke up next to each other :)

  I could go on and on and on about my day today but that's where I'll end it because this girl needs to have a somewhat early night. I must do some chores tomorrow... i.e. LAUNDRY!!! SHOPPING!!! and maybe some CLEANING!! Yes I know very exciting!

  With a free mind and a warm heart I must go to bed!! Good Night all!!

  Hello everyone!!! I would just like to start off by telling everyone that today was such a great day for me, not only was it my FRIDAY!! but I had such a good night last night. I watched a good funny movie with Dylan and her hubby and then we had a chat. She helped me put things into perspective. We watched that movie "Crazy Stupid Love" and I LOVED IT!!! Seriously Ryan Gosling did look photo shopped! LOL

  Now I'll fill you guys in on my latest happenings with Ian. Let's just say I could get used to him being around! We met up at Goleta Beach this morning and went for a nice walk and talked. This is one of my favorite stages of a potential relationship... the getting to know each other and all the nervous butterflies and the what am I going to wear.

  I'm writing this post kinda fast because he's on his way over to my house right now. I'm not sure if we'll stay in or go out but I am def up for some fun either way. He did however drop a little bit of a bomb on me this morning and I've been thinking about what he said all day. Wanna hear it?? I'm gonna tell you guys in hopes that someone out there may have a similar situation and might have some advice for this girl... I'm still not sure how what he told me will effect "us" yet... Ok! He said he was married 10yrs ago!!!! AHHHHHHH... he said he married his high school sweet heart because she was pregnant!!

  He gave up his full ride scholarship to stay with her and raise their child! When his wife was about 4months pregnant she miscarried and then soon after that they realized they married each other for the wrong reasons and divorced. OMG!!!! How am I allowed to feel about this?! He said they were married less than 1 yr and doesn't regret it. He also said the only reason he told me now was because he wants me to be around for a long time. He feels that the sooner we lay this all out on the table the sooner we can move past it without harboring any ill feelings!!! Which I of course agree with it, and can we say hello grown up relationship!!!

  Well I better wrap this up because I know he will be here soon and I still need to eat my grilled cheese before it gets to cold. I don't know what I have planned for tomorrow but I think Ian has a free day too... maybe a day trip to Magic Mountain!!! WOOO HOOOO!!! So until then good night all :)

Thank God for EO's

  AHHHH!! I feel like screaming a little bit right now... I'm so glad to be off work! I got offered an EO (Early Out for all you not hip to the casino lingo) and I gladly took it. It couldn't have happened on a better day because I wanted to punch this girl, who shall remain nameless, in the face and she would have deserved it!!!

  Now I realize a lot of you out there don't know my personality totally. I'm not much of a confrontational person by nature but I am not afraid to stick up for myself when a bitch is being a bitch!!! Now you might be asking what makes a bitch a bitch and to this question my answer is this... when you work in the industry that I work in, seniority means everything. I've been waiting and waiting for the perfect day shift to open up  (which rarely EVER happens). I put in for it and the bitch that just got hired gets it, only because she's sleeping with the boss!!! Now that's what you call a bitch move!!

  I'm off work now and I'm not gonna let it ruin my night. I guess this just means the shift was never mine to have :( which is sad because I would love to be on a somewhat normal schedule. Enough of the poor pitiful me!! Onward and upwards!!!

  So, tonight I'm going to my best friends house (Dylan) to watch a movie.. her choice this time so we'll see what cheesy movie she comes with!! lol JK Dyl!! I'll bring the wine and cheesecake!!

  Next on my list is the forever sexy Josh Duhamel. I'm not trying to be a hater but Josh come on really FERGIE!! (total butterface lol) I guess love really is blind :/ I'm really not awful usually but this I DO NOT get!!

  Now the lovely Robert Pattinson. Lemme just say he can suck my blood anytime, lol!! JUST kidding, JUST kidding! I didn't fall in love with this guy until I saw him in the movie "Remember Me". Have any of you guys seen it?! If not go find it and watch it and prepare to cry cry cry!!

  Ryan Gosling, now to me his sexy is a little more of a romantic hidden sexy and ever since "The Notebook" I've liked him. Now rumor has it that him and Eva Mendez are dating and THAT I'm ok with :)

  Finally, the funny and awkwardly hot Ryan Reynolds!! I fell in love with him in the movie "The Proposal" and then "The Green Lantern" solidified it for me!!

Overtime and Bagels

  Hi everyone!! How's everyone doing?? I have had a very long couple of days and now with this time change, I feel so exhausted. I think the karma gods are punishing me for calling in "sick" because I've had to work overtime the past 2 days. I don't know if any of you out there know how draining it is to be on your feet standing and with a chipper attitude for over 10hrs a day but it is hard sometimes!! I love my job but after 8hrs, I'm more than ready to clock out and get some fresh air. On the bright side of it, it gives me more time to make that money. We all know that's half the reason I keep going back for more :)

  I also had Ian over for breakfast this morning, well breakfast for me anyways! lol  He brought over a Jacks whole wheat bagel and some coffee... have any of you ever had a Jacks bagel??!! Man are they gooooood! I think him and I are off to a great start. The casual hanging out together, walks and almost non stop laughing is making each day more and more exciting for me. 

  I hope I'm not boring you guys with all this guy talk. Comment below if you think I am or have some advice. I'm still new to this whole blogging thing but I can see why people get addicted! I also enjoy reading other peoples blogs. Do any of you have any suggestions on some I should check out?

Sun kissed cheeks and salty lips...

  HELLO everyone!!! Today was suppose to be my dreaded Monday.... BUT!!... I might have called in sick? :/ I feel like 2 days off just is not enough sometimes!!! So last I wrote I had just had a very promising first date with Ian the real estate agent and had made a second one. Turns out we didn't  make it to our early morning surf session yesterday because I unintentionally flaked on him :/ OH YA and it was like below zero here (not really but for this girl it might have well been). It wasn't because I didn't wanna see him but I slept thru the alarm I had set for 6AM!!! In my defense I didn't go to bed until really, really late because I decided at the last minute to go out with some of my girlfriends. We listened to a guy named Trevor Hall play. The show was good and my company better... Thanks to my girls!! (Dylan, Rose and Cassie) and thanks to SOHO for always having good artists and a full bar :)

  Today was full of adventure! I figured since I owed Ian a redo and since I called in sick I might as well make it worth while and we headed up North. With a full tank of gas, our boards, towels, open minds, free souls and of course Brody!!! We ended up in this great beach town (Pismo) and had an absolute blast with each other!!!

  We surfed, laughed, walked on the beach, laughed, ate at a YUMMMY BBQ joint (best pulled pork sammie EVER btw) and then went to the local pool hall and played a couple of games where I quickly learned pool isn't really my thang!! LOL after getting my ass whoooped we went to the Pismo outlet stores where I SCORED on a sweet new pair of purple linen TOMS and some new earrings! We laughed some more and then headed home :)

  The drive back home was silent, not a bad weird silent but a nice comfortable silent. We listened to music and he reached to hold my hand while I was driving!! And that felt very nice :) His hands were warm, big and slightly callused.

  When we neared the exit to my house I started getting nervous in anticipation of our first kiss and at that moment I thought I must like this guy if hes giving me butterflies. I immediately freaked out because I hadn't brushed my teeth since 8AM and my mouth reeked of BBQ'd  pig and fermented fruit!! Didn't even have so much as a mint!!!

  We pulled up and unloaded my Jeep. I was hoping this would be the end to our fab day because I was spent!!!  He finally pulled me close and planted his warm salty lips on mine... it was exactly how I thought it would be!! Well minus the sun kissed cheeks and salty lips!! LOL. It was one sweet little kiss from a great guy and it feels good to be back in the game!!!

  Well I better get my sunburned butt to bed or I'll sleep thru another alarm tomorrow.. eeeeeks!!

Food, drinks & a gentlemen:)

  OMG!!! What a great day!! Where should I start? At the beginning or the end? Beginning, I guess. So after I got done writing last night I poured a glass of wine and started ripping apart my closet and decided I had nothing to wear on my date. I then decided that I'd wake up early and do a little shopping before my afternoon date. Has that ever happened to any of you?

  I planned to wake up at 8:30am (ugh.. on my Saturday) and I did it!!!!! As I rolled out of my comfy warm bed still dreaming I rubbed the sleep from eyes threw on my yoga pants and Toms, grabbed Brody (my 100lb rot.. have I mentioned him yet?!) and out we went to get coffee and start our shopping spree...

  I ended up only going to one store (Forever 21) and finding exactly what my closet was missing, a black pencil skirt, a great black kinda leathery jacket, and some great assorted color star earrings. By the time I tried on half the store it was 11!!! and I was impatiently waiting for a phone call from Ian letting me know where he wanted to meet up. Turns out he wanted to meet at Longboards, one of my favorite restaurants, for a late lunch!!

  Can I just say things with Ian went incredibly well.. I'm not usually one to get all bahjiggity over a guy but from the first time I saw him on my table at work I've been excited to see him again and again. On top of being a tall tan gorgeous blue eyed babe, he's also very smart! He's in the real estate business and he loves it.

  After a good meal and a delicious raspberry mojito and great conversation we decided to call it a day. He got into his car and I got into my Jeep and that was it... should I be mad he didn't try to kiss me?? Or glad because he's a gentlemen? But he must of had a good time too because he's been texting me about an early morning surf tomorrow, alllll daaaay, which does sound nice.

  Well, I guess it's time to call it a night and get this post published before the power goes out... from the solar storm that we're suppose to have tonight. Have you guys heard about that!?! Whoa, its kinda scary to think about life with all this electricity flowing.

It's ma Friday!!!

WOOOO HOOOO! Its my favorite day of my week, Friday!! And I had a great day mostly bc it was my last day of work and it was so cold outside today it didn't feel like I was missing out by being stuck at work inside all day. Today started out like any other day.. coffee and dog walks and off to work.. for the past few weeks I've been having some flirty and interesting conversations with this really really ridiculously good looking guy and tonight he FINALLY asked me out! I hesitated at first but then decided why not! So tomorrow we're going to meet up for lunch and see how that goes. I'm super excited and I'll keep all you guys posted on how it goes... wish me luck!!!!
And tonight I'm thinking since I'm already home I'll just stay in and have a glass of wine and pick out what I wanna wear for my lunch date tomorrow.. woot woot!!! Good Night All

What a day! What a day!

I'm finally home after a very looooong day... it was a pretty slow Sunday at work today... which meant a lot of dead spreads (empty tables for those of you that don't gamble). I did have some good conversations with some of the players today though.. one lady in particular really got me thinking. And I met my first hard core doomsday prepper!!!! I feel like I'll be seeing her face on that show sometime soon, she was gnarly!! She lives on a private ranch (she wouldn't tell me where!! lol) with her son and his wife and they have made it their life's goal to no matter what, be prepared for anything mother nature throws their way! For most of my day her words haunted me but once I got into the fresh air I soon realized she might have been a little bit of whacko!! I'm hoping tomorrow will be a little less intense.

I'm going to end this day and night with my DVR'd episode of Khloe and Lamar, its def my guilty pleasure show... I just love them. Shes my fav Kardashian, even if shes not really a Kardashian :) Good Night All

Oh ya!! I almost forgot to say what the best part of today was... dunt dunt dunt  daaaaa... My chocolate peanut butter milkshake! Now that will fix anything that is wrong in the world!!

GOOD MORNING!!!

So I'm up and at um right on time today :) I have just enough time to get showered and dolled up for another wonderful day at work. I just bought this new color lipstick at MAC the other day and I'm gonna try it out today, hopefully it'll bring me some good luck!! I had a great Monday (my Monday is Friday for normal people) I got off work a little early last night and had dinner with some friends... Thai food for the first time!! It was..... interesting :/
Well time to go take the Pup for a short walk and then off to work I go!! Hope everyone has a terrific day :)

Damn! I woke up late and it feels like I have a million things I wanna get done before the dreaded work week begins. Sooo! First up, coffee. Gonna head over to one of my favorite places to get coffee, Crushcakes!  I really wanted to head to the beach but it is too damn windy outside! Guess I will clean the house instead.
